TROY nation! The saga continues! We officially moved into round two of the Hit the Stage contest hosted by Metallica! Thank you to everyone for the votes and helping us to get that much closer to hitting the stage with gods of rock but now we must ask for your final votes to help us seal the deal. TROY is one of eight finalists left in this contest and every vote counts! Voting is now done at Metallica.com and there is no sign-up process in order to vote. Follow the link below for a direct line to the official page for the “Hit the Stage” contest where the voting poll can be found. Vote and help us spread the word by sharing this story or interacting with our Facebook page. Voting ends April 25th.

TROY is in a contest to open for Metallica on their upcoming tour and needs your vote! Voting can be done once every 24 hours and the first round of voting ends on April 12th! The winning band will get to perform at five different Metallica tour dates including the St. Louis show on June 4th at Busch Stadium!

Point listeners will be able to vote once-per-24-hours from Wednesday, April 5th at 12:00pm CT through 11:59pm CT on Wednesday, April 12th on which band they think should “HIT THE LIGHTS” and potentially open for Metallica. One vote per entry, per person, per email address allowed every 24-hours.

The top two (2) voted bands from The Point local submissions, will then move on to the next stage. Starting Friday, April 14th, 10 bands from 5 different cities (including the 2 selected from STL) will go live on Metallica.com for voting. On Wednesday, April 26th the national winner will be selected and announced on Metallica.com

The winning band is then off to Boston, MA a few weeks later to join the line-up for the five Metallica tour dates listed below…

Ernie Ball Announces TROY winner of the Uproar National Battle of the Bands.

The fans and the judges have spoken alike and TROY has been picked the winner of the Rockstar Energy Uproar Tour Battle of the Bands presented by Ernie Ball! Ernie Ball throws many battle of the bands, but non as prestigious in rock as the Uproar Festieb-botb-uproar-2014-lockup-transparent (1)val Competition.  TROY was hand-selected out of over a thousand bands as the winner of this National Battle of the Bands.

What does this mean??

That’s right…

We are going on Tour!!!

TROY played for their spot on the Rockstar Energy Uproar Tour in September of 2014 in Bonner Springs, KS. After what must have been a lot of deliberation due to the large amount of talent that entered, Ernie Ball announced that TROY was the band that would be joining the Uproar Tour of 2015. We are so excited and deeply humbled by this wonderful opportunity! TROY is extremely thankful for you, the fans. – None of this would have been possible without your undying support.

In August we will be launching out on a quest to play in over half of the states our lovely country has to offer, with some of the biggest names in rock today! We feel honored and SO stoked to have been chosen by such reputable people within the industry as Jay BaumGardner . These guys are leGuitarist Kyle Girth of TROY at Rockstar Uproar Festival 2014.gends to us and true pros when it comes to sound, performance, and the industry in general.

One of the sickest things is that we get to record in L.A with Jay @ NRG Studios. This dude produced some huge bands like Godsmack & Paparoach & tons more!! – needless to say we fell out of our chairs…literally…

 

TROY continues to be astounded by the amazing support of their fans. “We are forever in debt for the love and opportunities our fans have given us over the years, but none bigger than this” – Cord/ Lead Vox. With the awesome Uproar 2015 Tour coming & new music soon to drop, we owe so much to our loyal following. Thanks again to everyone that voted; all of our family, friends, and fans, as well as the great people at Ernie Ball and Uproar for already treating us like family. We can’t wait to represent Springfield and Missouri on this crazy experience.
